Q: How do I start my order?
A: Simply fill in the commission enquiry form and upload a couple of photos of your pet and we will send you a quotation including an estimated time frame for the work.
Q: How long does it take for you to complete a sculpture of my pet?
From start to finish we normally allow about eight weeks to complete each sculpture. We are aware that, on occasion, commemorative sculptures are used for presentational purposes. If you have a particular deadline for a special occasion please let us know at the time of initial enquiry (some elements particularly the drying time cannot be rushed) however, if it is possible we will try to meet your deadline.
Q: What size are the sculptures?
We can make your sculpture to whatever size you desire. If you require the sculpture to be life-size then we would ask you to provide some idea of dimensions or actual measurements. We understand that where the subject is no longer with us this may not be possible and we can provide assistance based on our experience in this event.
Q: Are gift certificates available?
Yes! Gift certificates are available in denominations of £10.00 and £50.00 to any combined value.
Q: What are your pieces made of?
Our sculptures are made from water-based ceramic clay and fired at 800C. They can then be glazed and re-fired at 1200C or painted to simulate a bronzed metalic finish if dersired.
Q: Do you sell/ship your work outside of the United Kingdom?
Yes! We provide sculptures worldwide. This is discussed during the initial stage of commissioning a sculpture and cost of shipping will be agreed before work commences.
Q: How many photos should I plan to send you?
While you will be intimately familiar with the subject of your sculpture, please bear in mind that the photos you provide form the only reference on which we can attempt to capture a true likeness. In order to convert your two-dimensional photos into a 3-D sculpture we require clear, front and side profile photos of the subject. Please do send as many photos as you can (from various angles if possible) particularly ones that capture particular facial expressions or distinguishing features that you would like to be included in the final piece.
Q: What if my sculpture arrives damaged?
All sculptures are fully insured. In the unlikely event that your order is delivered to you in a damaged condition, please notify us by email within 24 hours of receipt. We will either replace it or give you a full refund according to your wishes.
Q: What if I don't like the piece?
We hope that you will find commissioning a sculpture to be an easy and enjoyable experience culminating in an object of beauty that will bring you much pleasure and enjoyment for many years to come. As a client you will receive perodic photos throughout the modelling phase so any adjustments can be made. You will be able to make any necessary revisions before the drying process begins.
Q: Why is shipping not included in the cost?
The cost of delivery varies greatly depending on your location. The cost of shipping is agreed during the initial commission enquiry and paid just before the finished sculpture is despatched.
Q: What about the pictures I send you, will they be returned?
Yes! Any original photographs will be scanned and returned by registered post. Alternatively you can send digital files via our file upload tools.
